Hepatitis B is the first vaccine your baby may ever get - given on the day that they're born. Yep, that’s right: most babies get the Hepatitis B vaccine in the hospital, just hours after they are birth. Generally this happens without the parent’s direct consent. If your birth happens in a hospital or birthing center and you don't want your baby vaccinated for Hep B, you’ll have to inform the hospital or birth center before going into labor, and then repeat this multiple times during and after labor, often reminding every new nurse or provider that walks into the room.
Hope for Kids with PANDAS and PANS
Over the last few years parents and pediatricians have been noticing a strange phenomenon happening with certain kids. A child can be perfectly happy and normal, then out of the blue develop tics and spasms, extreme anxiety, obsessive compulsive behaviors, mood swings, anorexia, aggression, hyperactivity, cognitive changes, or any combination of the above.
This is a tragic change, and often parents and doctors are at a loss when trying to figure out what might be causing these symptoms and behaviors.
